Formed initially as a service organization to provide vacuum pump and system rebuilding in the Northeastern United States, the company developed a line of vacuum products designed to protect and enhance vacuum system performance. Products, Services, and Markets
The MV Products Division of Mass-Vac, Inc., manufactures products to protect the vacuum pump, the vacuum system, and the environment. These products include a complete line of vacuum inlet traps with a variety of interchangeable filter elements. These traps, with the appropriate filter elements, are used to protect pumps used on LP-CVD systems, freeze dryers, gel dryers, plasma etch systems, and many other laboratory and production applications.
The company designed and manufactured a two-stage oil filtration system for removing particles and acids from vacuum pump fluids. These systems have clear sumps so that the condition of the pump fluid can be observed while being filtered. They offer a choice of elements, such as cellulose acetate, activated alumina, and PolyPro 2, 5, or 20 micron particle filters. The gear pump moves the pump fluid at the rate of 1 gallon per minute.
To keep oil mist from contaminating the atmosphere in the vicinity of the vacuum pump, the company manufactures oil mist eliminators that use microfiberglass coalescing filter elements. These elements provide an efficiency of better than 99.9999% in removing particles as small as 0.1 micron. These units are corrosion-resistant and come in different sizes for various sizes of vacuum pumps.
