Membership participation is needed in the following areas:

Membership and Marketing Committee – Joshua Lebeau, CPF, A&N Corporation, Chair
The AVEM Membership and Marketing Committee promotes AVEM and builds the association’s membership rolls while  marketing  the products of the association. Further, the Membership and Marketing Committee concentrates efforts on the AVEM’s programs to promote members’ products and services, including the website, Resource Guide and other future association products. Any and all aspects of membership development are open to your talents, interest, and contributions. As a Committee member, you could develop targeted prospective member lists; help develop a recruitment program; act as an AVEM Ambassador at events; assist with the development of promotional materials; and provide guidance to the AVEM Board of Directors on membership issues, including recommended membership categories and dues structure. The marketing experts on the committee are responsible for raising additional revenue for the association to help fund programs and maintain lower dues. The committee guides the production of the AVEM Resource Guide, develops guidelines for the AVEM website and recommends other non-dues revenue programs, such as literature displays at exhibitions. Provide your marketing expertise to the association to increase the quality and number of programs offered to benefit members.

Statistics Committee – Steve Barker, Vacuum Research Corporation, Chair
AVEM is an active participant on the International Statistics on Vacuum Technology (ISVT) Working Group. The ISVT program, developed by AVEM in cooperation with JVIA (Japan Vacuum Industry Association), EVTA (European Vacuum Technology Association), and SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International), collects sales data on vacuum components for North America, Japan, Europe, and the rest of world on a quarterly basis. For these four regions of the world, vacuum market segmentation sales data by product is collected annually. Members of the Statistics Committee provide AVEM’s input into the ISVT Working Group to ensure the program operates to the benefit of member participants.
